Nothing under the covers Service Records are Work Orders that are a particular type and complete.
Currently, AgOps only allows people to Add service records against a machine. A service record is simply a complete work order.
Why did we do this?
Eventually, we anticipate adding the ability for people to add a work order in an incomplete or unfinished state. You would create a work order to carry out maintenance or other tasks and assign it to a team member. Alternatively, AgOps would automatically generate a Work Order to prompt the team to perform the work.
If you could say you wanted to repaint the machine's cab (Unlikely, but stick with it). Instead of creating a service record after or while you complete the work, you create a Work Order to "Repaint the cab" and assign that to Bob. Bob is alerted of the need to complete some work, and when he updates the status to complete, you are notified. Simple.
